Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Case Manager)

Location

• Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)
• No weekend or holiday shifts required

Department and Role

• Case Management in Acute Care Coordination
• Coverage primarily on inpatient nursing units, with potential for Emergency Department and Maternity coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Discharge planning and utilization review using InterQual criteria
• Fast-paced patient discharge turnaround
• Coordination of acute care services

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience with MCG/InterQual reviews
• Acute Care Coordination and discharge planning experience
• Strong communication, time management, organizational skills, leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities

Orientation

• 3 to 5 days of unit/department-specific orientation

Certifications and Licenses

• Current BLS certification required
• Valid driver’s license required at time of application

Additional Requirements and Policies

• Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%; failure results in termination
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates cannot be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with certain healthcare systems within the radius
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply will result in contract termination
• Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO extensions allowed
