Respiratory Therapist Travel Opportunity

Location: Santa Maria, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), approximately 36 hours per week
Unit: Respiratory
Patient Population: Adults, pediatrics, and neonates (no NICU unless experienced)
Typical Duties:
- EKGs
- ABGs
- Breathing treatments
- Ventilator management (Puritan Bennett 840)
- High flow nasal cannula
- Chest vests
- Vapotherm
- Bronchoscopy proficiency required
Orientation: Up to 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Coverage: Rotated with core staff
Call: Not required
Supervision: Charge Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
Hospital Support: Hospitalist or Intensivist in-house; 24/7 RT and pharmacy coverage
Electronic Medical Record: Cerner
Telemetry Equipment: Phillips

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required (RRT/CRT accepted)
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS
COVID-19 vaccination required
Proficiency with bronchoscopy procedures
Prior travel experience preferred but not mandatory
