Surgical Technician - West Burlington, Iowa

Job Type

Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: Days, 07:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide intra-operative care to patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures.
Assist in operations under supervision of physicians, registered nurses, and surgical personnel.
Maintain and create sterile field during surgeries.
Prepare operating room by collecting supplies and equipment.
Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons within the sterile field.
Surgical specialties include ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology, and Endoscopy.
Additional call hours required.
Recent Epic experience (within last 12 months) is required.

Required Qualifications

Surgical Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Surgical Technician experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience with Epic.
