RN Labor and Delivery

Overview

• Location: Florence, South Carolina

• Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Assess patients using history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data.
• Provide age-specific nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Responsibilities also include precepting and mentoring novice employees, supporting Evidence Based Practices, and participating in educational offerings.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP issued by American Heart Association
• Nursys, within 30 days of start
• License/Certificate Verification with primary source verification and a copy of the license/certificate
• Driver's License/State ID
• Social Security Card
• McLeod Profile
• McLeod Skills Checklist, completed prior to start and updated annually
• McLeod Criminal Background Check Results, completed within 60 days of start and covering the last 7 years
• McLeod Drug Screen, 10-panel completed within 30 days of start
• MMR proof
• Hepatitis B proof
• Varicella proof
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)

• References preferred but not required

Additional Notes

• Fit Test is optional
• Influenza Vaccine is optional
• Annual Negative PPD is optional
• Annual TB Questionnaire is optional
• Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray is optional
• McLeod Confirmation of Assignment is required on board
• No declinations accepted for MMR, Hepatitis B, or Varicella documentation
