Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a robust Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Scheduled for 3 12-hour shifts per week plus 4 12-hour call shifts within a 6-week period
• Floating required to similar units as needed
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification (AHA only)

Additional Information

• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with plans of care and standards of practice
• Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
• Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees
• Participate in hospital-system initiatives to cultivate nursing-involved Evidence Based Practices
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
• Experienced night shift nurses are preferred for this role
