Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician (Travel)

Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Monday - Friday rotating schedule between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM with one day off every other week
• Call schedule: Approximately 2 weekdays and every 3rd weekend; holidays as needed
• Strong background in patient care, preferably in critical care or procedural settings
• Proficiency with medical equipment and imaging technologies
• Experience with Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures such as angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainage procedures, and vascular access highly desirable
• Solid understanding of sterile technique and radiation safety protocols
• Strong mainframe and PC skills, excellent oral and written communication, good organizational and analytical skills
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related specialty
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• Advanced certification through ARRT in one of the following: ARRT-CI, ARRT-CV, or ARRT-VI
• Valid Wisconsin Radiographer License

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

• Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA training completed within the past year (minimum 80% score)
• Documentation of vaccinations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination signed and dated
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted)
  • TB screening (Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, annual TB questionnaire)
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (annual update required)
• Drug screening: 12 panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, and professional references required prior to assignment
• Ascension Core Competencies and Skills Checklist to be completed annually

Additional Notes

• Must provide a statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Driver’s license or state ID must be current and valid
• Resume/profile and professional references required for submission
• May be required to work at multiple sites within a 40-mile radius
