Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room

Location: Brookfield, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
Minimum 2 years full-time adult Emergency Department (ED) experience required
Prior travel experience required
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
May need to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
At least one completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with adult patients
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Emergency Pediatric Life Support (EPLS) certification
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training

Documentation and Onboarding Requirements

Professional resume/profile and at least two professional references prior to submission
Signed assignment agreement and onboarding paperwork completed onsite
Ascension badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and other required screenings within 90 days of start
Employment and education verifications completed within 90 days of start
Completion of Ascension onboarding education attestation and nursing contract worker onboarding modules
Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules
Epic test results and training checklist with signed attestation
Annual updates required for many certifications, exams, and health screenings

Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required based on staffing needs
