Job Opportunity: RN ICU

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Every other weekend shift
  • No on-call duties
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Cerner OneChart
  • Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kansas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Onboarding & Testing Requirements

  • Completion of Cerner test-out and training checklist with signed attestation prior to start
  • Specialty competency exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
  • EKG exam with minimum 80% passing score, updated every 3 years
  • Color vision test, updated every 3 years
  • Completion of onboarding education attestation and contract worker onboarding onsite
  • Pre-hire modules including Nova StatStrip training for non-allied positions
  • Skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine: Optional, but mask required if declined during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
  • TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; positive results require chest X-ray and annual questionnaire
  • Fit test for respiratory protection, preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter

Documentation & Verification

  • Resume/profile required for submission
  • At least two professional references required prior to first assignment
  • Criminal background check including social security trace, OIG search, national sex offender registry, and others within 30 days prior to start
  • Employment verification for past seven years required
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days prior to start
  • Driver’s license or state ID must be current and match address on file

Additional Notes

  • Badge photo required (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
  • Some optional checklists and evaluations may be requested but are not mandatory for onboarding
  • Extensions require updated confirmation of assignment documentation
