Job Opportunity: RN Step Down

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).
• Requires 2 years of experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit) / Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care.
• Placement will be on a unit with the greatest need, which may be PCU, Med/Surg, or Telemetry units based on your skills.
• Accepts RNs with Med/Surg or Stepdown experience (credentialing is the same for both).
• Must be willing to float onsite within your skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• 2 years of experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit), including experience within the last year
• Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Information

• Floating to other units or nearby sites may be required based on staffing needs.
• Specialty competency exams require a minimum passing score of 80%, with only two attempts allowed.
• Ongoing annual updates required for certifications, health screenings, and competency validations.

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with a strong background in step-down, telemetry, or med-surg acute care who are flexible and able to adapt to varying unit needs.
