Specialty Experience

• 1 year required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• CPI or MAB
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Comfort with the prison population
• SANE / Forensic experience

Clinical Expectations

• Float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units, including forensics and inpatient units
• Must be comfortable working with the prison population

Schedule Considerations

• Holiday rotation required
• For September-start contracts, time off will not be approved for Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day
• September-start contracts should extend into the new year to cover holidays

• Government-issued photo ID is required

• 2 clinical references are required
• COVID vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions considered
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption is required year-round
