Overview
- Travel/contract role in Muncie, Indiana
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12s, 11:00–23:30
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must be willing to work charge
- Local candidates: Indiana residents not accepted
- Floating is required within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby as needed
Unit Details
- Trauma center
- 48 beds, flexing up to 62 beds with hall beds if needed
- Regular ED patient ratio is never more than 1:4
- Hold assignments may include 4:1 for progressive holds and 5:1 for medical holds
- Average of 6.6 behavioral health patients per day
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Experience in Charge roles
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Continuous IV sedation
- IV vasopressors
- Procedural sedation administration
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Ventilated patients care

- This role is exempt from the Indiana traveler restriction that applies to some RN travelers after 11/30/24
