Operating Room RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Location: Palos Heights, Illinois
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 11:00–19:30
• Hours per week: 40
• Contract length: 12 weeks
• On-call required
• Weekend requirement: Yes
• Meal break: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
• Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience
• Experience in robotics
• Experience in general surgery
• Orthopedics experience
• Urology experience
• Ability to scrub in the operating room

Schedule Expectations

• On-call coverage includes weekend call and weekday call within a 6-week period

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Driver’s license or government photo ID with address preferred
• Proof of name change required if legal name does not match compliance documents
• 7-year criminal background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Education verification for highest level of education
• Transcript or diploma may be needed for pending education verification
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing within 12 months of start and annually
• Tdap within 10 years of last dose
• TB clearance documentation
• Drug screening within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• COVID vaccination series or declination
• Illinois healthcare worker registry fingerprinting and verification before start
• Employment application with 7 years of employment history and gap explanations over 30 days
