Overview

• Location: Fishersville, Virginia
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend; holiday rotation; may need to float to cover staffing needs
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Unit: 32-bed medical/surgical unit
• Patient ratio: 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule Expectations

• First-timers accepted
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Local radius rule: 50 miles
• Pending license not accepted

Additional Notes

• Self-scheduling is used, with groups rotated each scheduling period
• One summer and one winter holiday must be worked if assigned
• On the first day, the RN completes drug screening at Employee Health and leaves; first shift is Tuesday
• The unit focuses on new technologies and innovative nursing practice
