Interventional Radiology Nurse

Job Overview

• Travel/contract registered nurse role in Minneapolis, Minnesota
• 12-week assignment
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• 1:5 patient ratio
• First-time travelers accepted
• Occasional weekend and on-call coverage if able
• No floating outside scope
• No block scheduling
• Local candidates are not accepted

Specialty Focus

• Radiology procedures, including interventional radiology, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and pre/post phase 2 recovery
• Inpatient and outpatient procedural care
• Moderate sedation for interventional radiology, CT, ultrasound, and IR cases
• MRI monitoring for pacemaker patients
• Anxiolysis, medication administration for nuclear medicine patients, and care for select anesthesia cases

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Interventional Radiology (1 year of experience)
• Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic

Work Environment

• Short-term acute care hospital
• Magnet, teaching, and Level III trauma designation
• 672 staffed beds

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days
• Parking is available at a flat rate of $0.55/hour
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start is required
• Tdap is required
• Negative TB or chest X-ray is required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, drug screening, and respiratory safety clearance requirements apply
• References are not required for client clearance and will not delay start
• Skills checklist is required annually
