Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Metairie, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Once every fifth week
• Call Requirement: Yes, 5-8 shifts depending on staffing
• Holiday Requirement: Yes
• Float Requirement: No
• Scrubs: Supplied by facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Louisiana
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • ARRT or RCIS
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • LSRT (temporary LSRT accepted; issued within 3-5 days after fee and proof of ARRT certification)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Other certifications may be required depending on assignment area (e.g., PALS, NIH Stroke Certification) but are not specified as mandatory for this role

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Unexpired government-issued photo ID required
• Background check within one year including: SSN trace, 7-year county residence history, nationwide search, sex offender search
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Attestation acknowledging possible pending background check results and assignment cancellation if unfavorable
• TB Questionnaire required
• MMR and Varicella attestations required
• Drug screen attestation required (drug testing itself not required)

Health Requirements

• Negative TB or chest X-ray per state requirements (client does not require copy)
• Physical exam, certain immunizations, and other health documents are not required or only required for specific units (e.g., Mother/Baby)
• Seasonal flu vaccination not required

Additional Notes

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam and other competency exams are required only for agency internal compliance and do not affect assignment start
• Passport-style photo with solid background required for badge issuance
