Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Travel/Contract)

Location: Jerseyville, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Start: ASAP
• Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital with 65 staffed beds
• Charting system: Cerner
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• Location: Less than 1 hour from St. Louis, about 45 minutes from Scott Air Force Base

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience, with endoscopy experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Infusion therapy experience
• Experience with Cerner charting system

Additional Requirements & Information

• Flexible scheduling required; block schedules are not accommodated and are a deal breaker
• Return to Office (RTO) parameters to be discussed during interview
• Must pass background checks including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks
• Required health documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption or declination
• Required competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care roles

Preferred Skills

• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
• Previous charge nurse experience is a plus
