Job Opportunity: Tele Float Registered Nurse

Location: Leominster, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work primarily on Med Surg/Telemetry units with Cardiac Drips
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including ER boarders
• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays
• Scheduling is based on unit needs; no block schedules available
• Must be flexible to start up to 4 hours before or after scheduled shift start due to critical department needs
• Patient ratio approximately 1:5
• Charting system: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 3 years of Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license or state ID
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and state-specific clearances required within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions
• Immunizations or valid declinations required for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu (seasonal vaccine or declination)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable, plus TB questionnaire
• Drug screening within 30 days of start covering a comprehensive panel of substances
• Employment application documenting 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Two professional references within the last three years
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Candidates must be prepared for floating across multiple inpatient units
• Telemetry experience is critical due to the nature of the units served
• Compliance with all facility-specific health and safety documentation is mandatory
