Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Edgewood, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

Seeking an Electrophysiology Tech with a minimum of 2 years of EP Tech experience. Travel experience is highly preferred. The role involves working exclusively at one facility (no float) with no weekend shifts. Call is required one day a week from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM to finish cases.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology Tech experience (higher requirement applies if conflicting info).
• ARRT certification required (CI, V, or R accepted).
• Kentucky state KMBIRT certification can be pending at submission.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• EPIC charting experience highly preferred.
• Must meet vaccination requirements: COVID (medical/religious exemptions only) and annual flu vaccine or approved exemption.
• Physical exam within 12 months confirming ability to meet job demands, updated annually.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (THC not required).
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M 1870+ or 1860 Small mask required).
• Required immunizations or titers: Tdap (within 10 years), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B. Medical/religious exemptions considered case-by-case.
• Two clinical references within 2 years or hospital evaluation required.

Work Environment & Additional Details

• No weekend shifts; call one day per week (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM).
• No float; assignment limited to one facility.
• Scrubs/apparel must not display any agency or brand logos.
• Tattoos/piercings restrictions: no nose rings or gauged earrings.
• Fingernails must be natural and less than 1/4" in length; polish is acceptable.
• No cafeteria on-site; refrigerator and microwave provided.
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID must be carried during work hours.
• Background checks: 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Education verification and primary source license verification required.
• Photo for badge: passport-style on light solid background.
• Attestation forms including I9 and E-Verify required.
• Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment.
• Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and advanced EKG/dysrhythmia testing required and must be updated annually.
• Pass/fail testing on EKG/medications with remediation required after failed attempts.

• Locals within 75 miles are accepted but at a reduced rate (not disclosed here).
• ASAP start preferred; allied professionals can typically start any day of the week.
