Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract

Location: Pullman, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Schedule: Friday through Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Call Required: No
Floating: Required within hospital and scope of practice

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense)
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM, STABLE, and National Tech Cert may be required depending on specialty/unit
  • State License (Primary Source Verification) required
  • NURSYS Verification required for RNs
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and for every contract renewal
  • Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search required within 12 months of start
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Tdap vaccine required
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Immunizations or titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (not required annually)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by October 31 (for flu season 9/1–4/1)
• Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology and general competency exams required as applicable
• Facility Specific:

  • Professional photo for badge prior to arrival
  • Review and sign personal appearance policy (scrubs allowed of any professional design/color; scrubs provided for surgical staff)
  • Sign code of conduct, HIPAA confidentiality agreement, and employee computer/IT use agreement prior to start
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations

• Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable unit

Additional Notes for Washington State Nurses

• Multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington must complete:

  • Suicide prevention training (6 hours) prior to working in WA if using a compact license from another state
  • WA Multi State Licensed Demographic Attestation prior to starting assignment
• APN candidates have specific attestation requirements

This position offers block scheduling (Friday through Tuesday) and does not require on-call duties. Floating within the hospital and scope of practice is expected. The facility uses EPIC as the electronic medical record system.
