- Unit: Cardiac units including cardio-thoracic surgery, open heart patients, TAVR, post cath lab, post cardiac surgery patients with telemetry
- Patient Ratios:
- ICU shifts: 1:1
- Telemetry shifts: 2:1
- Float: Yes, within cardiac service line
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period (every other weekend)
- Holiday Work: Travelers required to work holidays as necessary
- Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
- Pending License Accepted: Yes
- Return to Office Restrictions: 7 days
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
Experience & Certifications
- Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years CVU experience (highest requirement)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not accepted for first-timers (prior travel experience required)
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Preferred Experience:
- Hemodynamics and ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Experience with cardiac assistive machines
- EPIC charting system experience

- Tdap vaccine or declination required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella
- Drug testing within 1 year, including specific panels
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
