Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Oakland, California

Job Details

  • Schedule:
    • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Rotating weekend shifts: Tuesday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with Monday off
    • Every other weekend and 1 Saturday per month required
  • Floating required within the breast center and mobile mammography van service across the Bay Area

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Tech
  • Education: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
    • California State Mammography Licensure (Certified Radiologic Technologist certification by the California Department of Health Services)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year background check including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC Sanctions List searches as applicable
  • Education verification and transcript/diploma validation
  • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
    • Flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or facial hair)
  • Respiratory safety clearance, renewed annually

  • Candidate must review and sign various facility documents prior to start, including:
    • Job description
    • Standards of business conduct
    • Confidentiality agreements
    • Orientation booklet and post-test
    • TB questionnaire signed by healthcare provider within 90 days of start
    • Vendor training and code of conduct for 2024 and 2025 (if contract extends)
    • Conditional offer of employment attestation
    • Religious accommodation forms if applicable

  • Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
