Job Summary

Seeking a Radiation Therapist with at least 1 year of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The position requires flexibility to float between similar units as needed. Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion. Local candidates are welcome. Pending licenses are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) - Therapeutic certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background Checks: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years. Includes SSN trace, education verification, sex offender registry, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and other state-specific checks.
• Education Verification: Required for all candidates; international education requires additional documentation.
• Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness to work.
• Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
• Immunizations and Health Documents:

  • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer

  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination during flu season

• Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, must be medically cleared annually for respirator use.
• Fit Mask Testing: Annual fit testing required for respirator masks; completed onsite if no recent record available.

Training and Competency Requirements

• Competency Exams: Medication and specialty-specific competency exams as applicable.
• WorkRamp Modules: Mandatory annual completion of regulatory, specialty-specific, and regional training modules via the employer’s LMS platform. Modules vary by specialty and region.
• Epic Training: Completion of Epic electronic health record training modules required prior to or shortly after start.

• References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
• Employment Application: Must include at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format; 7 years required for advanced practice nurses or subcontractors.

• Radiation Badge: Issued by the facility; no action required by the candidate.
