Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General
Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM (overnight shifts)
- Travel Between Sites: Required to travel between two clinics (~14 miles round trip) during shifts
- Call: No call required
- Weekend: Weekend shifts required
- Patient Volume: Average daily census of 50 patients
- Equipment: GE E10, Trophon
- Specialty Focus: Abdomen, OB, and Vascular ultrasound studies
- Float: Must float between two clinics during shifts
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
- Certifications:
- ARDMS required
- RVT preferred
- AHA BLS required
- Licensure: Must hold appropriate ultrasound tech licensure/certification for Colorado
- Skills: Comfortable performing Abdomen, OB, and Vascular studies
- Driving: Must be comfortable driving between sites during shifts
Additional Requirements
- Background Checks: 7-year background check including SSN trace, state and federal checks, education verification, and others as required
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months and annually thereafter
- Immunizations and titers including TDAP, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug testing within 30 days of start and annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
- COVID vaccination proof or signed declination
- Competency Exams: Required annually, including medication test, core competencies, OSHA, and others as applicable
- Color Blind Exam: Ishihara exam required prior to start (online testing not accepted)
- References: Two professional references from the last two years, including one from the last year, preferably from a charge nurse, manager, or supervisor
- Employment History: Verification of last 3 years of employment with explanations for gaps over 30 days
Important Notes
- No call responsibilities for this position
- Must be comfortable with overnight shifts and weekend work
- Must be able to travel between two clinic locations during shifts
- Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions
- Required to complete facility-specific orientation modules within the first two weeks of assignment
This position is ideal for ultrasound technologists with solid experience in general ultrasound, including abdominal, OB, and vascular studies, who are comfortable working overnight shifts and traveling between multiple clinic sites.
