Registered Nurse - Cath Lab (California, Lakewood)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Shift Days: Monday to Friday, with one day off during the week
• Shift Hours: Typically 7:30 AM start; may occasionally require 6:30 AM start (confirmed day before)

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for California
• Experience: (Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience for Cath Lab)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs prior to start except certain specialties)

• Competencies:

  • Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam

  • 7-year search including statewide, nationwide, sex offender, SS trace, and federal searches

  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year, updated annually
  • Immunizations and titers: TB test, Hepatitis B series or declination, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tdap or Pertussis titer
  • Flu vaccine required annually by December 5 (declinations accepted with masking requirements)
  • COVID-19 vaccination documentation or declination with masking requirements during flu season
  • N95 mask fit testing within 1 year (or PAPR documentation if failed)
• References: Two professional references within the last year from leadership roles (e.g., Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse)
• Other: Signed HIPAA acknowledgment and various facility-specific acknowledgments and agreements prior to start
