Job Description

• Support Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures using single and biplane radiography units.
• Procedures include Y90, TIPs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, lumbar punctures, kyphoplasty, lines, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, PE/DVTs.
• Work with adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients of all acuities in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Utilize fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment.
• Call requirements: 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week; two techs on call each shift (primary and secondary).
• Active role requiring ambulation, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
• Work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather work required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Proficiency with Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures on single and biplane radiography units.
• Current Radiologic Technologist license (ARRT certification preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for Interventional Radiology.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, take call, work weekends, and at least 50% of holidays during the contract.

Certifications & Compliance Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC Provider card required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC Provider card required.
• ARRT certification required for Radiologic Technologists.
• Background check including 7-year history, federal and state exclusions, and international checks if applicable.
• Drug screening (7-panel negative test within 60 days of start).
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year.
  • Tdap vaccination within 10 years or approved exemption.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination.
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or approved exemption.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season.
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types required).
• State license verification and primary source verification within 60 days of start.
• Professional references (2 within last 2 years).
• Photo for badge (new candidates only).

Physical and Work Environment

• Active position requiring physical stamina to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects over 20 lbs.
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses.
• Facility operates 24/7, requiring flexibility for rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather.

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Trauma Level 1 and Stroke Center experience preferred.
• Use of electronic medical records and PACS systems expected.
• Must be able to work full term of contract at assigned location.
