Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab (Travel/Contract)

Location: Valdosta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Overview

• Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses:

  • General medical (deconditioning/debility)
  • Orthopedic including motor vehicle accidents and multi-trauma
  • Neurology
• Average Daily Census: 13 patients
• Visits per Day: 1
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 during day shifts
• Weekend Coverage: Two Saturdays per month with a compensatory day off during the week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Georgia
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days of start, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, and sex offender search
• Official Transcript or Diploma copy required
• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start and must be renewed yearly
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, including Marijuana/THC
• Immunizations/Vaccinations:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (facility-specific declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if positive, documentation and clear chest x-ray within 6 months required
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; booster recommended if low/equivocal titers
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, completed series, or signed declination
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start during flu season (Sept 22 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19: Facility-specific vaccination requirement or exemption forms may apply
• Photo: Passport-style photo with white background required for badge
• Employment Application and 2 professional references required

Orientation & Facility Specifics

• EPIC Testing required on day 1
• Facility-specific dress code and scrub colors apply
• Mask Fit Testing completed at orientation
• Various study guides and pass/fail exams may be required during orientation (e.g., medication exam, EKG exam) but specifics depend on unit and discipline
• Competency check-off and acknowledgment of facility policies required prior to start

• Weekend shifts require coverage of two Saturdays per month with compensatory days off
• Scrubs are provided for this role (Pewter/Gray)
