Critical Care RN Travel
Location: Fairfield, California
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing Travel
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Deliver safe, effective, quality nursing care based on established nursing philosophy and professional practice models.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using a holistic approach addressing physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial needs.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote, maintain, and restore health.
- Perform nursing skills, explain treatments, and educate patients and families on health care needs.
- Evaluate care effectiveness and modify plans as necessary.
- Use equipment, instrumentation, and medications safely and competently.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care team members.
- Advocate for patients’ rights and informed decision-making.
- Provide culturally competent, age-appropriate, ethical care within legal standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities with healthcare professionals and ancillary staff.
- Utilize effective communication for safe patient handoffs and documentation per hospital policies.
- Use manual and automated information systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences and assist in complaint resolution.
- Perform all physical duties of the job, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and fine motor skills.
- Complete annual organizational employment requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 3 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including ICU experience within the last year
- Acute care experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Additional Information
- Accountable for meeting or exceeding unit and organizational patient satisfaction goals.
- Investigate and provide information regarding physician, employee, and patient complaints to appropriate leadership.
