Location: Newport, Oregon
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Days, 0800–1630; no weekends
Duration: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure
  • One of the following:
    • Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Residency
    • Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in pharmacy practice plus 1 year of pharmacist experience
    • 2 years of pharmacist experience
    • 1 year of leadership experience plus 1 year of pharmacist experience
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS
  • ACLS
  • Pre-employment/post-offer drug screen

Role Summary

  • Manages pharmacy department operations, including planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating functions, activities, and costs
  • Supports pharmacy staff in delivering quality services
  • Prepares and dispenses medication
  • Assesses patients’ clinical status
  • Provides drug information to the medical team
  • Educates patients
