Overview

• Contract RN position in Lamar, Colorado
• Full-time, 36 hours per week
• Night shift: 7:00pm–7:00am
• On-call required
• May rotate shifts and areas as staffing and census require

Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care for women in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Responsible for assessments, labor monitoring, preparation for C-sections and inductions, documentation, patient education, emotional support, transfer coordination, and IV medication administration

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery (7 years of experience)
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS
• C-EFM
• STABLE

Experience

• 4 years of obstetrics care preferred

Skills and Clinical Focus

• Labor, delivery, postpartum, and mother/infant care
• Sterile technique and infection control
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment

• Long periods of standing and walking
• Heavy lifting
• Possible exposure to blood and body fluids, unpleasant sights and smells, and infectious diseases
