Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

Role Overview

• Temp Registered Nurse (RN) assignment in Rock Island, Illinois.
• Night shift, 12 hours per day.
• 13-week contract.
• Local candidates are allowed.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Valid RN license in Illinois.
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience).
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• Driver's License.
• Not employed by UnityPoint in the last 12 months.
• Work history/resume.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• License verification.
• Copy of required certifications.
• 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission.
• Chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines experience.
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban, including some titration.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 completed travel contract.

Assignment Details

• Historically maintained a 1:7 patient ratio.
• 48-hour weekly guarantee.
• Summer holidays: traveler will be required to work 1–2 of Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
• NBO: 16 hours.
• EPIC EMR.
