Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) (Nights)

Unit Description

• Open ICU covering Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, CVICU, and Neuro ICU
• May care for pediatric patients if helicopter transport is unavailable
• Two sections: 14-bed unit and 12-bed unit
• Patient placement based on bed availability, not reason for admittance

Staffing Ratios

• ICU: 1 nurse to 2 patients, occasionally 1:3
• May float to CVCU (1:4 staffing) or Emergency Department for hold patients with similar ratios during low census

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Current PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience working with pediatric patients

Additional Information

• Orientation for nursing travelers starts on Thursdays
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• No increased rate for overtime, holiday, or call-back hours
• On-call pay: $2 per hour with 1-hour minimum
• Local applicants within 50 miles considered at a reduced travel rate
• Non-compete: Former direct employees not eligible to return through agency until 6 months after direct employment ends
