Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology

Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN position in Matthews, North Carolina.
• Outpatient hematology & medical oncology clinic setting.
• Adults over 18; 10 infusion chairs.
• Ratios: 1:5.
• 8-hour day shift: 07:45–17:15.
• 40 hours per week can be offered.
• 13-week contracts accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Oncology (2 years of experience).
• Oncology experience within the last year.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ONS/ONCC.
• Central line experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• OCN.

Scheduling / Assignment Details

• No call.
• No weekends.
• Can float between the Matthews and Ballantyne Clinics.
• RTO after booking is not allowed.
• Pre-shift COVID screening required.
• Clinic accepts first-time travelers.

Unit / Work Environment

• Mixing is handled by techs/pharmacy.
• Ambulatory infusion pumps used.
• Unit systems: Pyxis, Epic, Zoom, Microsoft Teams.

Orientation / Onboarding

• Unit orientation is 8 hours, varies by skill level.
• Hospital orientation occurs during week one, and the traveler must be available for classes each day.

Scrubs

• Navy blue.
• Not provided.
