Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Contract Length
- 14 weeks (interpreted from contract_length value 14)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers (prior travel experience required)
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Call: 5 weekdays and 1 weekend every 6 weeks
- Weekend shifts included in call requirements
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
Compliance & Orientation
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Non-compliance results in a 2-week push back due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
Required Certifications & Competencies
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for relevant specialties; must be current
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required unless specialty states otherwise
- Other certifications may be required depending on specialty (refer to clinical tracks)
- Competency Exams:
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs and LVNs)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for certain units including Cardiac Tele/Step-down)
Licensure & Verification
- State License verification required within 30 days prior to start (Georgia license required for CRTs & RRTs)
- Annual NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days prior to start
- Allied Annual License Verification if applicable
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification
- Physical exam within 12 months of start (required by agency, not client)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months of start; additional TB testing required for privileging specialties
- TB Questionnaire required annually for all candidates
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation thereof:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B series, surface antibody titer, or signed declination (special compliance for privileging specialties)
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
Additional Requirements
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months
- Verification of most recent employer required (can be pending at start with proof)
- Two clinical references required (agency requirement, not client)
- Facility-specific documents such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start
Notes
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Clinical screening required to determine fit before final manager decision
- Privileging specialties (e.g., CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant, RNFA) have additional compliance and documentation requirements
This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Techs with prior travel experience who meet the certification, licensure, and compliance requirements.
