Oncology Nurse Navigator

Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Assignment Length

14 weeks

Role Summary

Provides nursing care and support for primarily cancer patients in a radiation treatment center. Duties include patient education, skincare and wound care, assessment of radiation toxicity, social needs support, telephone triage, chart preparation, disability forms, and pharmacy calls.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in District of Columbia
Oncology experience within the last year
2 years of oncology experience
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience

Nurse navigator or nurse coordinator experience
Oncology experience
Radiation oncology experience
