Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted with strong ED experience

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled
• Floating required within the specialty, including the ER hold/Obs unit

Clinical Setting

• High-volume, fast-paced, non-trauma emergency department
• Patient ages range from neonates to geriatrics
• ER ratio: 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity
• Hold/Obs ratio: 1:5, up to 6 with lower acuity

Additional Considerations

• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts
• EPIC is preferred
• Two supervisory references are required
• Employment application/resume must be completed within 30 days of start
• Previous 5 years of employment history verification is required
• Background check and state exclusion screening are required
• Physical exam, drug screen, TB screening, flu documentation, and other standard health documentation are required
