Overview
- Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night, 4x12 hours, 18:00–06:30
- Contract length: 18 weeks
- Guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week
- Overtime: After 48 hours on contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
Key Job Details
- Block scheduling requests may be approved based on unit need
- Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles
- No locals within 100 miles
- Pending license accepted
- First-time travelers accepted, with prior experience preferred
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
- Facility is smoke-free at all times, including the parking lot
- Must be able to sustain being on feet for 80% of the shift
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Correctional experience
- Wound Care (1 year of experience)
- Wound Care experience within the last year
- Must pass facility background check
- Valid non-local driver’s license
- Social Security card
- Two professional references within three years of hire
- Complete application with at least 3 years of work history
- Skills checklist
- Work history verification for 3 years of previous work experience
Clinical Skills / Experience
- Phlebotomy
- Starting IVs
- High Flow Nasal Cannula
- Nasal Cannula
- Non-invasive airway management
- Oral suctioning
- Oxygen face masks
- Portable oxygen tank
- Isolation precautions
Screening / Compliance
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, with annual update
- EPLS/GSA/SAM within one year of start
- HHS/OIG within one year of start
- Education verification
- Fingerprinting onsite during orientation
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Fit mask within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or documentation required year-round
- COVID vaccine not required
Additional Notes
- Cerner training attestation may apply
- Relias Basic Dysrhythmia Exam may apply depending on unit requirements
- New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks
