SICU Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Role Details

• Must have MICU and/or SICU experience.
• This is not a novice or entry-level RN position.
• Must be able to work independently with complex, high-acuity medical and trauma/neuro/surgical ICU patients.
• Floating is primarily within Critical Care Division, with additional floating to other units as census needs require.
• Weekend needs vary based on unit needs.
• Block scheduling may be considered for day/night shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Montana.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care (1 year of experience).
• SICU - Surgical Intensive Care experience within the last year.
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience.
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• 2 references, including a direct supervisor reference within the last year.
• Current employment application with 7 years of employment history and explanation for any gaps greater than 30 days.
• Application missing-information tracking form, current and including 7 years of employment history with explanation for gaps greater than 30 days.
• 7-year background check within 30 days of start, renewed annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM screening within 30 days of start.
• HHS/OIG screening within 30 days of start.
• Education verification of the highest level of education for the position.
• Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray, renewed annually.
• COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documentation during the required season, or approved exemption.
• Fit mask testing within 90 days prior to start, unless completed onsite.
• Current and valid driver’s license, government photo ID, or passport.
• Proof of name change, if applicable.
