Medical Surgical Float

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Augusta, Georgia
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 12 weeks
• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Float pool position with required flexibility on scheduling
• Float required to all MS and MS/Tele units within the hospital
• Possible float to sister campus approximately 3 miles away
• Ratio/census: 1:5–6
• Locals accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Float experience within the last year
• 1 year of float experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic
• Must be cleared for float units, ratios, and scheduling flexibility
• Must be able to perform own vital sign checks and blood glucose checks
• Full compliance required to start on time

Preferred

• 1st timers accepted

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• No call
• Maximum RTO: 7 days
• Major holidays may be required based on assignment dates

Unit / Work Setting

• All potential MS and MS/Tele diagnoses
• Unit systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
