CT Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Day (3 shifts of 12 hours each per week) from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Call Requirement: Yes, 2 to 3 shifts per 4-week schedule
- Float Requirement: No
- Scrubs: Black
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 5 days
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Louisiana
- Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Driver's License
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID with name matching all documentation
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years, including:
- Social Security trace
- County, nationwide, sex offender, federal extended, FACIS Level 3 checks
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel or expanded panel depending on hire date)
- Employment application with 7 years of work history, no gaps over 30 days
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months of start and annually
- State license verification and NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
- Medication, Dysrhythmia/EKG, and Core competency exams required within 12 months of start and updated annually (must score 80% or higher)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start (two-step skin test or equivalent)
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination required annually (Oct 1 – Mar 31) with accepted medical/religious exemptions and declinations
- Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (declinations accepted)
- Physical exam not required by employer but may be required by placement agency
Additional Notes
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification may be required depending on unit assignment (not specified for this role)
- Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred but not mandatory
- No float requirement for this position
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with strong radiology/cardiology skills, proficiency with Phillips equipment, and Epic system experience, seeking a travel contract in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital environment.
