Job Overview

Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening, 5x8 hours, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Schedule notes: Monday–Friday with occasional weekend coverage and weekend on-call rotation every 2 months
Floating: Not required
First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

Histology Technologist (1 year of experience)
Histology Technologist experience within the last year
BLS
HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Beaker
Bachelor’s degree in histotechnology, biology, or a related scientific discipline
QIHC certification
3–5 years of experience with IHC and special stains

Work Setting

Teaching hospital
Magnet designation
Level 1 trauma center
865 staffed beds

Additional Notes

Radius rule applies: 60 miles
Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
RTO must be submitted at time of application
Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks
Epic is used for charting
Parking is available for nights and weekends with a one-time $20 pass fee
Travelers should be aware of hurricane-season emergency response assignments from June through November
