MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Portland, Oregon
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Role: MRI Technologist in Diagnostic Imaging
- Patient Population: Infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Shift: Evenings, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (mostly 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM)
- Weekend work required
- Floating: Within hospital only (no floating to other hospitals)
- Schedule: Variable days, schedule provided weeks in advance
- On-call: Not required
- Holidays: Not required
- Locals and first-time travelers accepted
- Pending license accepted if application submitted and received by licensing board
- Return to Origin (RTO) restrictions: 1 week max
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- BLS certification (AHA provider only) required
Certifications & Competencies
- ARRT (MR) certification
- BLS (AHA provider only)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications may be required depending on unit (verify with recruiter)
- Competency exams with required passing score of 85% or higher
- Stroke CEUs required for certain units (not specific to this role unless assigned to those units)
Compliance & Onboarding
- Must complete facility-specific professional appearance policy and job description acknowledgment prior to start
- Required to complete online training modules before badge issuance (Compass system)
- Must comply with facility’s coronavirus protocol attestation
- Background check and advanced screening release forms required and must be completed promptly
- Facility requires full availability for compliance needs up until start date (notify recruiter of any planned unavailability)
Additional Notes
- Scrubs provided for OR if applicable; no personal scrub prints required
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking cost: $15 daily
- No drug screen required annually unless there is a 60+ day gap between assignments at this facility
- Physical exam required only for specific transport roles, not for this position
- Facility does not conduct fit testing onsite; must be completed prior to start through agency or approved provider
