Medical Lab Technician - Travel/Contract Position

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana

Shift: Night (3 or 4 shifts per week), 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Seeking Medical Technologists (MTs) or Medical Lab Technicians (MLTs) with blood bank experience.
• Previous blood bank experience is required, preferably in a high-paced trauma environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Medical Lab Technician license in Louisiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Lab Technician experience.
• Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year.

• Photo for badge: full color, passport-style photo taken within last 6 months, plain background, no obstructions or filters, to be uploaded within 24 hours of booking.
• Emergency preparedness checklist required for assignments during hurricane season (June 1 - Nov 30).
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification is not required for this specialty.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM certifications are not listed as required for this role.

Experience Requirements

• Prior blood bank experience is mandatory.
• No explicit years of experience stated; however, prior blood bank experience preferably in a high-paced trauma environment is required.
• No prior travel experience required.

Work Schedule

• Night shifts, either 3 or 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation.
