Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Description

• Occupational Therapist position in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
• One weekend coverage required per month.
• 36 hours guaranteed per week.
• Flex days available.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Experience with outpatient physical therapy, ADLs, and stroke rehab is helpful.
• Amp Care experience preferred but not required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas.
• Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Facility & Work Environment

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
• Free parking available.
• Mileage reimbursement not provided.
• Cannot guarantee all holidays off.
• Return to Office (RTO) restrictions apply and must be approved at time of submission.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Emergency contact form required prior to start.
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, and Sex Offender registry.
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS from recognized organizations (American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Fit mask required prior to start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Immunization or titer proof for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
• COVID vaccination or declination required.
• Professional references: 2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care (within 3 years).
• Annual skills checklist.
• Employment verification of most recent employer.

Additional Notes

• Locals are accepted for this position.
• This role requires flexibility and adherence to facility policies regarding scheduling and documentation.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
