Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Total Hours per Week: 40 hours
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team during events, requiring extended stay or relief duties as directed by unit manager
- Scrub experience required
- Neuro Interventional Radiology (IR) experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Travel experience required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Louisiana
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Scrub experience
- Travel experience
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Sex offender search required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification or transcript/diploma if verification cannot be completed
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (no instant screenings; must be updated annually)
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
- Resume/application with 7 years employment history and explanations for gaps
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, indicating good physical health
- Fit mask testing (N95) within one year of start; onsite fit testing available if needed
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months, updated annually; for positives, additional documentation required
- Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tdap vaccination required for select areas (ED, Pediatrics, Mother/Baby, NICU)
- Seasonal flu vaccination, declination, or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
Additional Requirements
- Color photo for badge (passport-style, recent, plain background) within 24 hours of booking
- Competency exam specific to specialty, completed within 1 year prior to start, minimum 80%, updated annually
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required unless working in ICU
- Candidates must be comfortable with emergency event assignments and extended on-site presence as directed
