Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Dual Modality X-Ray Tech/CT Tech position
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 2-3 on-call shifts per month (on-call only if someone calls out)
• Hurricane sign-up required (not guaranteed)

Required Experience

• Valid CT Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Stroke and Trauma cases experience required
• X-Ray Technician experience required
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system

Skills & Competencies

• Experience with imaging of:

  • Abdomen/GI/Pelvis
  • Chest/Thorax
  • Head/Neck
  • Lower/Upper Extremity
  • Spine/Pelvis
  • Portables
• Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
• Multiplanar Reconstruction (preferred)
• Preparation and administration of contrast media
• Starting IVs
• Spine/Musculoskeletal imaging
• Brain Perfusion imaging
• CTA and CCTA (preferred)
• Isolation precautions
• Experience with all patient age groups from neonate to older adult
• Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• CT scanner used: Siemens GoTop

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active Florida CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification via AHA or ARC

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with a 60-mile radius rule for local candidates
• Physical exam within 6 months of start, signed by DO, MD, NP, APRN, or PA, confirming ability to perform job without restrictions
• Negative QuantiFERON TB test within 6 months (TSPOT and PPD not accepted) or chest X-ray if prior positive
• Annual fit mask test required (approved masks only)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Required immunizations/vaccinations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu documentation during flu season
• Background check within 6 months including aliases, SSN trace, counties, nationwide, and sex offender registry
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance required prior to start
• Completion of required online orientation and training modules (clinical and compliance-related) with certificates of completion
• Two professional references from the last 2 years required

Certifications & Training (Must be current and valid)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – if applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Computed Tomography credential on ARRT certification
• Other facility-required modules and trainings related to safety, compliance, and clinical procedures

Work Environment

• All ages from neonate to older adult
• Inpatient and outpatient settings
• Shift includes overnight hours with on-call responsibilities

This position requires a highly skilled dual modality technologist with strong clinical experience in both X-Ray and CT, including stroke and trauma imaging, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts. Candidates must meet all licensing, certification, and compliance requirements prior to start.
