Job Description
Seeking a Physical Therapist for adult acute care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The role involves working alongside an interdisciplinary team in a level I trauma center. Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of adult patients with diagnoses such as total joints, trauma, general medicine, medical-surgical, transplant, neurosurgery, and neurology.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Includes weekend rotation coverage approximately 3 times during the contract with a compensatory day off during the week
- Experience preferred in acute care, including medical-surgical, orthopedic, trauma, and neurology patients
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of work eligibility (I-9 form)
- Copy of Driver’s License/State ID
- Social Security Card or SSN verification
- Background check covering the last 7 years, including criminal and sex offender registry checks
- Education verification (diploma or transcripts preferred)
- Annual drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- Fit test for N95 mask within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (during flu season)
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands, updated annually
- Color blindness test prior to start
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules before starting
- Passport-style photo for badge
