Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: San Angelo, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have ARRT (T) certification.
• Graduation from an accredited radiology program is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; 3 years strongly preferred.
• Start date on or near May 4th.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Texas
• Radiation Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• ARRT (T) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Social Security Card.
• Background check (7-year, including federal, state, and education verification).
• E-Verify or attestation.
• Education verification or diploma.
• Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgements (e.g., Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Statement, Health Record Form).
• Passport-style photo for badge.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Fit test within 6 months prior to start (annual updates required).
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or vaccination series/declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, vaccination, or proof of disease)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
  • COVID initial series (boosters not required)
• Drug testing as per facility requirements.
• References: 2 required within 3 years of start.
• Resume or employment application.
• Skills checklist updated annually.
• Pass/fail testing during orientation (medication administration, restraint, glucometer, etc.).

• Legal name must match across all documentation (license, ID, social security card, certifications).
• Background checks and certifications must be current and valid as per facility and regulatory requirements.
• Some certifications and competencies may have a grace period for longer-term assignments.
