Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location: Clovis, California
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5 hours)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Job Description

Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery specialty.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
AWHONN or Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Valid Driver’s License

Additional Information

Fit test will be completed onsite on start date.
HLC testing to be completed by Friday before start date (stipend available if completed timely).
Optional: Social Security trace, employment verification, and driving record if not included in background check.

Note: Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position.

Charge nurses try to keep ratios even. Lots of travelers that are friendly and helpful

Cons

Having to float downtown. When I was there the management kept changing. Moving antepartum back and forth to 2nd floor when 1st floor antepartum rooms needed to be used.
