CT Technologist

Location

New York, New York

Schedule

  • Overnight shift, Monday-Friday, 12:00am-8:00am

Contract Length

  • 9 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in New York
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (CT)
  • CT injection certification
  • BLS
  • At least 1 year of CT experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques
  • Complete daily quality control calibration checks and other quality assurance and safety tests
  • Inject patients with radioactive material per physician order and prescribed protocol
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
  • Maintain documentation, logs, manuals, and charge documents
  • Report equipment problems
  • Maintain and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation
  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance
  • Receive radiopharmaceuticals and verify proper receipt and activity level before administration

Additional Notes

  • May also require x-ray work during overnight hours
