CT Technologist

Location

New York, New York

Schedule

Overnight shift, Monday-Friday, 12:00am-8:00am

Contract Length

9 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in New York
CT Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT (CT)
CT injection certification
BLS
At least 1 year of CT experience

Job Responsibilities

Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques
Complete daily quality control calibration checks and other quality assurance and safety tests
Inject patients with radioactive material per physician order and prescribed protocol
Follow radiation safety guidelines and ALARA principles
Maintain documentation, logs, manuals, and charge documents
Report equipment problems
Maintain and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation
Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance
Receive radiopharmaceuticals and verify proper receipt and activity level before administration

Additional Notes

May also require x-ray work during overnight hours
