ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract

Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour day or night shifts (72 hours every two weeks)
Unit: Adult ICU (9 beds) with occasional stable pediatric patients

Job Details

Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2; may be 1:1 when indicated.
Potential for med/surg overflow with ratios up to 1:3 or 1:4.
Minimum of three nurses per shift.
May float to other departments to assist (without taking a patient team).
Charge nurse duties available with additional compensation.
Unstable pediatric patients are transferred to higher level of care.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii.
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Experience working with pediatric patients.
